CEREMONIES TO SUIT YOU

FAQS

What areas do you serve?
All over Adelaide metropolitan areas as well as rural and regional South Australia.

What forms do we need to fill in?
You will need to fill in and sign a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) - this form must be lodged with me at least 30 days before the date of the ceremony, and no longer than 18 months before. Part of the requirement is to see proof of your identity. If you have been married before, I will need to see evidence of termination of that marriage. You will also be required to fill out a Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage. This can be done when we go through your NOIM or at your rehearsal (usually the week before).

What is your wedding celebrant style?
I believe in having a relaxed atmosphere where you can truly be yourselves. There are some serious elements to your ceremony, but it is important that the ceremony created be all about you two and that you have fun along the way!

How many weddings do you book per day?
To ensure that I perform my role as your celebrant at a high standard, I perform one ceremony per day only.

How many meetings are needed before the wedding?
It’s always good to have a getting to know you meeting first. If you feel that I am the right celebrant for you we have another meeting to go through legal documents. Other than these two meetings, we can have as many meetings as you like! I also recommend a rehearsal session with your bridal party. This will ease any anxiety your bridal party will be feeling on the day and also give you both the time you need to rehearse walking down the aisle and know what to during the ceremony.

Will you do all the paperwork and take care of all the formalities/legalities?
Yes, I will ensure all legal documentation is filled out and ready to be sent to Births Deaths and Marriages to register your wedding after the ceremony.

Who can I choose to be a witness?
You will need 2 witnesses who are at least 18 years old. It is entirely up to you whom you select to be witnesses. Many couples have their bridal party, this is quite traditional so a lot of couples like to ask their parents or other friends/relatives who are attending the wedding.

What equipment do you provide?
I provide my own PA system and microphones. My PA system has an integrated USB port and SD slot for playing MP3 files. This “all in one” system is also equipped with a Bluetooth receiver for audio streaming. You are welcome to bluetooth your music to this for the ceremony - however you will need to arrange for someone to play the music for you. You also need to make sure they know which songs to play. You will need at least 3 pieces of music - one for walking down the aisle (processional), one for the signing, and one for walking back down the aisle once you are married (recessional).
Other equipment I can provide is a card table and white linen if required. I do not provide chairs due to work health and safety.

How will you be dressed on the day?
I base my dress on what you want and what your colour scheme and wedding theme is!

Will you be putting our photos online?
Yes, only the ceremony and only with your permission on my website and Facebook page after your wedding day.

How early will you arrive at the wedding and how long will you stay?
To ensure I have enough time
to set up, I will be at your wedding venue 45 minutes before the ceremony starts and then take my leave after the ceremony ends.

Do you have a backup marriage celebrant?
If I am unable to attend your ceremony, I am a proud member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants where there are many other capable celebrants that will be able to take over if required.

Will you help me with my wedding vows?
Yes absolutely! I encourage you to write your own vows and in the resource folder that I give you, there are ideas and options to help you with this. Your vows can be as long or as sort as you wish. There is the legal minimum requirement for vows that must be stated in full but other than that you can incorporate your personal vows.
